We recently sold out of our second printing of the Anthologion, and the third printing is underway! In this edition, we have had the opportunity to correct errata, and also to significantly expand the text. Highlights for the third edition include:
- Improved consistence of the translation, both within the Anthologion and in relation to our other titles
- Revised translation of the Trisagion ("Holy Mighty")
- Revised and expanded Festal Calendar, including the saints commemorated every day of the year and their liturgical rank
- Revised liturgical guides for greater accuracy
- Revised and improved Priest's Prayers section in light of clergy feedback
- Added the services of the Mid-Hours ("Inter-Hours") for "Alleluia" days outside of Great Lent
- Added the full text of the Holy Psalter, divided into the twenty Kathismata for easy use at the daily services
- Added the Festal Menaion, with the proper services for the rest of the Great Feasts not previously included in the Anthologion, including:
- Church New Year (September 1)
- Nativity of the Mother of God (September 8)
- Elevation of the Cross (September 14)
- Entrance of the Mother of God (November 21)
- Nativity of Christ (December 25) and its related Sundays
- Circumcision of Christ (January 1)
- Epiphany (January 6)
- Presentation of Christ (February 2)
- Annunciation (March 25)
- Transfiguration of Christ (August 6)
- Dormition of the Mother of God (August 15)
This has resulted in the addition of over 300 new pages of new material to further enrich and enhance your prayer and worship throughout the year.
