An excellent guide to developing your prayer rule. Done in a very common style of the Orthodox Church still uses today. I've learned more out of the 153 texts on prayer then from many theology books.

This is the perfect prayer book. I gave my first edition copy away and I was disappointed with that edition because I always thought in the back of my mind that adding the hours and compline or 12 twelve psalms was what this needed to be complete. I use this every morning and evening and I take it everywhere. ALTHOUGH I wish this edition had all the additional prayers from the 3rd edition Anthologion added into it. The prayer of Saint Patrick, canon of repentance, the morning prayer of the Optina Elders, among others, could and should all be added into the next edition maybe please.

I cannot express in words alone how impressed I am with this book. It truly has helped me learn the fullness of the yearly cycle, and I gain new insights every day I use it!

The attention that went into creating this fantastic lectionary is quickly seen. Layout, print size, nice cover, 6 ribbons, good paper weight. I ordered an additional copy as a gift for a loved one.

I had the first edition, and I find this expanded and slightly corrected edition well worth buying again. Thanks.

The only thing I found missing was a non-lenton standard form of the Typica for use on a Sunday without a priest. Aside from this....a truly fantastic source. Would love to see a larger form of this for easier reading.

This was great and just what I needed for Liturgical services as well.

I hear so much from modern theologians that it's become almost a moot point. Going back to the early church fathers is so refreshing, inspiring and makes more sense than anything all the best schooled theologians can say. The early (Original Church of the Apostles and Saints) had it right all along. We've lost nothing. We've simply squandered our rich inheritance left to us by our fathers. The Letters of Saint Ignatius, The Didache and the Prayers of the Desert Fathers all all easy reads packed with history and directions for us Orthodox.

Great for traveling. All you need in one travel size book .

What a great set of books. I read them every day as part of my prayers, and with new/old calendar I can easily keep up with my liturgical readings. Beautifully bound and made. Totally worth it.
