The Holy Psalter: Errata
All human efforts are prone to error, we humbly ask forgiveness for these which we and our proofreading team overlooked in The Holy Psalter.
Corrected in the Second Printing (2023):
- Page 6. Inverted words. Psalm 6 should read, "...and my soul is exceedingly troubled."
- Page 88. Repeated word. Psalm 69 should read, "Let those who desire evil for me be turned back..."
- Page 110. Missing verse. The second-to-last verse of Psalm 83 should read, "For the Lord loves mercy and truth; God will give grace and glory; the Lord will not withhold good things from those who walk in innocence. O Lord God of Powers..."
- Page 126. Typo. Psalm 95 should read, "He will judge the world with righteousness..."
- Page 144. Repeated word. Psalm 106 should read, "They cried to the Lord in their anguish..."
- Page 283. Tense. The Prayer of Manasses should read, "For all the powers of heaven praise you..."
And the following are not errors, but changes that we have made to improve consistency.
- Page 87. In Psalm 68 we have changed "poison" to "gall" with a footnote to explain the archaic word.
- Pages 143-144. In Psalm 106 we have revised the refrain, "...and for his wonderful works for the children of men."
- Page 186. In Psalm 139 we have changed "those who are violent" to "the unrighteous."
