Absolutely beautiful. Wish it had more icons though. But is a must have.

Small and mighty. Feels great in the hand, the paper is very high quality, and the font is nice and big. Everything I’d hoped it would be and more.

Used in conjunction with the Anthologion, the Lectionary Bible facilitates the ability to pray the daily cycle of prayer for for all Orthodox Christians. It is easy to integrate readings into the daily offices and is an absolute joy to use. The "investment" in the two volumes results in an ability to enter deeply into the mystery of life in Christ through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to the Glory of God the Father. ☦️

Excellent pocket prayer book for Orthodox. I have ordered a few more for family members. I highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed.

There is so much to say about this wonderful prayer book. At the time I’m writing this review it’s the Sunday of the Holy Cross and a little over a month since I bought this book. I don’t typically write reviews but I love this prayer book so much, I just have to write a review.
The book itself is wonderfully done, good material for the cover that feels good to the touch (and doesn’t feel cheap), durable paper, text big enough to read, and surprisingly lightweight given the size of the book.
As for the content within the book, there are no words in the English dictionary to describe the great richness and quality of the prayers. The morning/evening prayers, prayers of the hours, occasional prayers, the Lenten prayers, variables, and the entire Book of Psalms are absolutely wonderful and deeply rich. the guides and the tables at the front are easy to understand to know what variables go for what prayers, ensuring that you aren’t just praying the same words everyday, but praying the services as the Church does as regards to the liturgical calendar. Because of this book, I feel like I’ve been able to pray more and draw closer to Christ in a way I haven’t been able to do previously.
Since then I got two people to buy this book and got the appraisal of this book by multiple priests, who are also recommending this same book in their parishes. There are no words to describe how much I love this. Wonderful job to the faithful working in St Ignatius Orthodox Press for putting together this book. God bless you all.

Such an awesome book and perfect for travel. Also will be reading through the 153 texts during Lent!

A substantial improvement over the already impressive contemporary English Anthologion, the traditional version uses language that will be more familiar (at least to American) to the majority of English speaking Orthodox Christians. And I don't just mean thee/thou - this new edition recognizes the adoption of words like Theotokos into the common English lexicon of Orthodox Christians and reverses clunky editing and translation decisions. It is my sincere hope that the contemporary English version can follow suit.

Fair warning: there are a lot of typos, especially in the Psalms. If that bothers you too much, wait for a future printing. Typos are simply a reality with all first printings from Saint Ignatius Orthodox Press.

I've purchased two: one for my wife and one for myself (her's is contemporary English, mine is traditional English). It's the perfect tool for staying in tune with the seasons and steeping yourself in the most valuable hymnography of our Christian way. Thank you for making this!

I don’t often write reviews for products so apologies in advance if it’s not a “professional review”. This prayer book has been extremely helpful in my outdoor prayer life. It has all the necessary prayers I need for when I’m out and about, which is all I could really ask for. But the richness of the extra prayers provided for extra devotion makes my connection with Christ that much closer. Not to mention the fact these are the same prayers as those in the Anthologian, which, I can’t stop singing praises about. Overall quality of the book is great, words are readable, and rarely any page flipping is done so focus on prayer is easier. Truly a wonderful book!

Very good quality print and make of the book, EOB translation along with the detailed liturgical guides might make the Holy Apostle and Gospel the best liturgical New Testament set in English.

Arrived ahead of schedule and so beautiful I almost don’t want to use it. It inspires me to live a liturgical life.

We bought one for ourselves and loved it so much that we bought this as a gift, and she loves it too! There’s a lot of great and helpful prayers in here and it’s small in a good way (fits easily in my bags or a man’s pants pocket)! Good quality and will probably buy more for gifts in the future!
